NUTRITION REPORT:
A nutrition report provides an overview of the nutritional state of the population (e.g. the First Austrian Nutrition Report 2003; the Nutrition Report of the German Society of Nutrition is published at four-year intervals).

NUTRITIONAL RECOMMENDATIONS:
Recommendations for the intake of nutrients are regularly updated by the specialist associations (Austrian Society of Nutrition, German Society of Nutrition, Swiss Society of Nutrition), and these form a basis for menu planning.

NUTRITION GUIDELINES:
Guidelines for selection of foodstuffs show basic information on a particular type of food. Practice-orientated statistics to ensure qualitative selection.
