HASLAUER LIEGE TREATMENT BENCH:
Soft-pack system, in which the body is wrapped in a membrane on the Haslauer treatment bench, and gently lowered into a water bath without coming into contact with the actual bathwater. The water is at a temperature of 37°, allowing the soft pack to take full effect on the body.
HAY PANNIER OVEN:
In the hay pannier oven, clients sit in a hay-filled niche and allow the heat and herbal vapour to flow across their backs. Rheumatic complaints can be alleviated with hay treatments. The mild heat and active substances of the hay have a detoxifying effect and encourage the body to sweat. The essential oil which is given off, “cumarin” (which forms when the hay is dried) is invigorating and relieves cramp. Hay bath: a traditional alpine treatment on a completely natural basis, using the treasures of the alpine plant world. People have known about the powers of alpine hay for centuries. For the hay bath, a layer of well-watered hay is placed on a treatment bench. The client lies down on the hay, and is covered with another layer of hay. Then he is wrapped in a membrane. The stimulation of thousands of small leaves and fragments of all different shapes, in combination with the heat, cause increased sweating together with mild overheating. At the same time, this treatment is gentler on the circulation than similar peloid treatments, for instance.
HAY PANNIER OVEN (GROUP HAY BATH):
As the name suggests, in the hay pannier oven the alpine hay is placed inside a hay pannier, or Kraxe (a peasants’ carrying basket in former times), and this is fixed in a niche inside the oven. This method creates a natural distance between the hay and the bather. The hay does not come into contact with the bather at all.
The soothing warmth of the oven causes an aromatic herbal vapour to be produced, which rises up the bathers’ backs and spreads throughout the room. Bathers usually wear a cloak made from natural fibres.
HAYFLOWER BATH: Extracts or essential oils made from hayflowers are added to the warm bathwater. Positive effects on wellbeing for sufferers of chronic degenerative diseases of the musculo-skeletal system (rheumatism, gout, arthritis etc.), good for releasing muscle tension and stimulating the metabolism.
HEALING GYMNASTICS:
Physiotherapy for rehabilitation of the musculo-skeletal system.
HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE (HYPERTENSION):
At least one in five people in the industrialised countries suffers from high blood pressure – and many do not realise it. The increased blood pressure in the heart, veins and arteries damages the cardio-vascular system and causes arteriosclerosis. Healthy nutrition, regular physical exercise and cutting out nicotine can help counter this popular disease.
